Colorado Municipal Clerks Association
I hope everyone is as excited as I am about our conference in Loveland! The Conference Committee met this week to finalize details and I believe that everyone will be very pleased with the experience that CMCA is bringing for their first solo conference. We are over the 100 attendee mark which is amazing and we are within budget! The week begins with an Athenian Dialogue which has over 25 attendees and will end with an incredible closing speaker on Wednesday that will motivate you to continue on as a leader in your community; the title of the Closing General Session is “How to be a CHAMPION Municipal Clerk in your Community!” In addition to our regular sessions which include learning opportunities for clerks and those working in finance as well, we scheduled an optional post-conference session with the Larimer County Clerk where we will hear about their processes and tour their elections facility. We have almost 40 clerks sign up for this optional session and in speaking to Larimer County Clerk Angela Myers, she and her staff are thrilled to provide this opportunity for the municipal clerks of Colorado.
I am hoping to see many of you October 2-4 in Loveland and have an opportunity catch up on what is happening across the state. It has been an amazing year serving as President of CMCA and I am excited for what the next year brings for our association.
