    Education

CMCA holds many educational seminars each year. Anyone is welcome to register. Enrollees in the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Certification Program will receive credit toward their certification for the hours they attend at CMCA sessions.

General seminar information will be listed on the CMCA Web Calendar. Detailed session information and registration will be posted approximately six weeks prior to each session. Be sure to check this page for updates.

CMCA annually plans Professional Development Opportunities (PDOs) throughout the state.  Many CMCA members are certified trainers who also teach as part of the CMCA Education Program. Additionally, the CMCA Education Committee plans and develops programs for the Colorado Municipal League’s Annual Conference in June, the Colorado Institute for Municipal Clerks in July, and the Annual Conference (currently in October). There are also several Master’s Academies throughout the year.

Education is the cornerstone of the Colorado Municipal Clerks Association. Come join us for a session!

Webinar: Technology Advancements and Ultra-Hi-Speed Broadband

    Wednesday, Jan. 17, noon-1 p.m.

Access to the internet is an essential service for any community to improve economic development, quality of life, and educational opportunities. Communities will require significant bandwidth to furnish an increasing variety of "smart government" applications, as well as to meet the growing needs of residents and businesses to compete in a global economy. Most communities are increasingly dependent upon private-sector providers to deliver this service; yet service improvements, including speed and bandwidth have, in many cases, been slow or even non-existent. This webinar will highlight the efforts now underway in 100 Colorado cities and counties to bring high-speed, affordable broadband to their communities. While free for municipal members, registration is required.https://members.cml.org/store/events/registration.aspx?event=WEB_TEC_18
