This class offers a variety of information about the basics of municipal clerking. This session includes topics covering public and open records; home rule and statutory legislation-how and why they differ; conflict of interest; board meetings; motions, resolutions and ordinances; resources available to municipal clerks; and clerk certification. In addition, a variety of the discussion is tailored to the attendees needs and provides flexibility to cover additional topics as needed.

Transitioning to electronic storage of records can be a frustrating process. Come and learn some tips and tricks to get staff to scan paper records into an electronic storage system and get them to let go of the paper and toss it away!

Our Annual Summer Masters Academy will once again follow the CML Conference - this year in Breckenridge. The program is two full days of training on important topics you face as leaders and managers. Friday brings a session on "Strengths Based Leadership" and "Lean Process Innovation". Saturday will focus on "The Leader as Coach and Mentor."
Sessions will be held in the Breckenridge Town Hall, hosted by Helen Cospolich, Breckenridge Town Clerk.
